WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT

We collect and use your personal information in a variety of ways, for example, to provide you with the services that you have requested from us such as making a table reservation or to send you marketing.

We collect and maintain personal information that you voluntarily submit to us during your use of the site and/or our services. For example, when you request to book a table, purchase a gift card, download a voucher, log on to our WiFi in our restaurant, or if you choose to pay for your table bill using a mobile app.

In providing the services, we may collect the following types of personal information.

It is our legitimate interest to use your personal information to provide the services you have requested from us and where it is necessary for the performance of any contract that you have with us.

Our site and our restaurants allow you to request information about our products and services and contact us. Your name and contact information may be requested in each case, together with other details of personal information that is relevant to your customer service or product enquiry. This information is used in order to enable us to respond to your request.

It is our legitimate interest to use your personal information in such a way to ensure that we provide the best customer service we can to you.

From time to time we will ask you to provide feedback about our products and services in the form of a survey or comment card. We collect the following types of information, first name, last name, email address, phone number, postcode, sometimes address.

We use this information to help us improve the quality of services provided by our staff and in our restaurants. We also use your feedback to monitor the quality of our products and services and to assist with the selection of future products or services.

It is our legitimate business interests to use the information you provide to us in your feedback for the purposes of business improvement and marketing purposes.

We may analyse your contact details with other personal information that we observe about you from your interactions with our site, our email communications to you and/or with other products and services in our restaurants. By using this information, we are able to measure the effectiveness of our content and how visitors use our site and our services. This allows us to learn what pages of our site are the most attractive to our visitors, which parts of our site are the most interesting and what kind of offers website visitors like to see.

We want to bring you offers and promotions that are most relevant to your interests at particular times. To help us build a better, overall understanding of you as a customer, we may combine your personal data gathered across company sites, for example your past restaurant bookings and information requests. For this purpose we may combine the data that we directly collect from you.

This could include IP address to monitor site traffic and volume, a session ID to track usage statistics on our site. Tags allow us to track receipt of an email to you, and/or to view your web-page and email interactions. Where your personal information is completely anodised, we do not require a legal basis to use it as the information will no longer constitute personal information that is regulated under data protection laws. For example, our personalised remarketing will feature our products and services that we think are most likely to appeal to you. Non-personalised advertising is marketing about our products and services generally and is not tailored to any particular individual.

Where we are undertaking personalised online advertising, we will also use information that we observe about you from your interactions with our Site, and our email communications to you and/or with our products and services in our restaurants.

From time to time we run prize draw promotions or competitions either online or in our restaurants which you can enter or games or quizzes on our Site or in our restaurants that you can play. We may collect the following types of personal information: First name, last name, title, birthday, email address, contact telephone number, address.

We use your personal information for the following business administration and legal compliance purposes: to comply with our legal obligations; to enforce our legal rights; protect rights of third parties; and in connection with a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets.

We use your personal information (e.g. name, job title, contact information including email address, curriculum vitae, your education, employment history and similar matters and similar information that you may provide to us and any other information relevant to potential recruitment) for the following recruitment purposes:

Business administration and legal compliance (e.g. the boring, but important stuff such as complying with any legal obligations we may have)

Your encrypted email address is also shared by us or our third-party service providers with Facebook, Instagram and Google under the terms of their Facebook Customer Audiences / Facebook Lookalike Audiences and Google Customer Match / Google Similar Audiences services respectively.

Fulfilment of services (e.g. to enable you to book a restaurant table, verify any card payments, deliver products, provide you with WiFi in our restaurants, send to you any purchased gift cards or provide the Site). Providers of booking software tools, credit card companies and other payment providers, delivery and courier companies, WiFi providers, gift card providers and website developers.

HOW DO WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT

Where our use of your personal information requires your consent, you can provide such consent: at the time we collect your personal information following the instructions provided; or by informing us by e-mail, post or phone using the contact details set out in this Privacy Policy.

THIRD PARTY LINKS & SERVICES

Our Site contains links to third party websites and services. Please remember that when you use a link to go from our Site to another website or you request a service from a third party, this Privacy Policy no longer applies.

Your browsing and interaction on any other websites, or your dealings with any other third-party service provider, is subject to that website’s or third-party service provider’s own rules and policies.

We do not monitor, control, or endorse the privacy practices of any third parties.

This Privacy Policy applies solely to personal information collected by us through our Service and does not apply to these third-party websites and third-party service providers.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Regarding personal information we have processed in connection with the supply of our products and services to any customer, we will retain personal information relevant to that supply of products or services for six years from the date of supply and in compliance with our obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (or similar legislation around the world). We may then destroy such files without further notice or liability.

Regarding any other personal information we have processed, we will retain relevant personal information for a period of five years from the date of our last interaction with you.

If you have opted out of receiving marketing communications from us, we will need to retain certain personal information indefinitely so we do not send you marketing communications again.

If your information is only useful for a short period e.g. for specific marketing campaigns we may delete it at the end of that period.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

We are committed to keeping the personal information you provide to us secure and we will take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or alteration.

Your right of access

If you ask us, we’ll confirm whether we’re processing your personal information and, if so, provide you with a copy of that personal information (along with certain other details). If you require additional copies, we may need to charge a reasonable fee.

Your right to rectification

If the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you’re entitled to have it rectified. If we’ve shared your personal information with others, we’ll let them know about the rectification where possible. It won’t stop us from storing your personal information though. We’ll tell you before we lift any restriction. If you ask us, where it is possible and lawful for us to do so, we’ll also tell you who we’ve shared your personal information with so that you can contact them directly.

Your right to data portability
